Chandrayan 3.
In a momentous event at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 16, as many as 350 students and 60 teachers witnessed the live streaming of the Chandrayaan 3 landing on the moon today. The arrangements for the students to virtually witness this historical moment were made at four different venues on the school premises i.e. school hall, the Bio lab, the Physics lab and the NCC room. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as everyone eagerly awaited the historic moment. The enthusiasm was further elevated as the Principal of the school, Mrs Bhavneet Kaur, and other senior teachers joined the students as they witnessed the live streaming of the momentous event. The meticulous arrangements made by the school provided a seamless and immersive experience to everyone present. The teachers engaged with the students, discussing the significance of the mission and its implications for the country’s technological advancement. The interactive session with the teachers ignited the students’ passion for space exploration and scientific innovation. As the virtual experience unfolded, the students were able to witness the delicate manoeuvring of Chandrayaan’s landing on the moon’s surface. The venues were abuzz with huge applause and excitement. The collective viewing of Chandrayaan’s landing was in itself a proud moment for the school. The presence of the principal and the senior teachers further elevated the significance of the occasion, leaving an indelible mark, inspiring students to dream beyond boundaries and nurture a passion for space exploration and scientific discovery.

Independence Day Celebration.
The 77th Independence Day was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm in Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 16 Chandigarh. The Principal Ms.Bhavneet Kaur unfurled the National Flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem. The school students presented a colourful cultural programme. The speech highlighting the spirit of freedom was followed by a soul-stirring patriotic song presented by the school choir. A skit stressed the importance of nation-building and children with special needs presented a dance on the song ‘Yeh desh hai veer jawano ka.’ The primary school students danced the traditional Gidda. The Principal Ms.Bhavneet Kaur enlightened the audience on the importance of Independence Day and exhorted the students to follow the principles of freedom, peace and equality. Ladoos were distributed to the students.
